3 months and so much to tell....

So it has been 3 months since my last entry. A LOT has happens in the last three months. One of the most exciting things and the biggest change in our lives, is the move to our new home. Josh and I put our house on the market and moved to a cozy 2br 2ba in Ingram! The kids absolutely love the house, I can't say the same about sharing a room. They are getting used to it and learning sharing, working together, and cleaning together.
Another big change in our lives is mommy's new full time job! This job is such a blessing from the Lord. It is full time for the rest of summer and when school starts it becomes 8-3 so I can drop off and pick up Jacob and Emma from school. Such a great schedule.
For the summer Jacob and Emma are staying with Grandma all day. They absolutely love being spoiled! They are not alone, their cousins Taijah, Mya and Allyssa are with Grandma all day also. They do crafts, go swimming, bake cookies, play games and if I am lucky they get a nap some days.
School will be starting September 6th! We are very excited about this year because Emma will be a first grader which means she will now be attending Grace Academy of Kerrville along with her brother. We already know about Jacobs amazing teacher Jana Williamson. She does such a great job with all of her students. Last year Jacob relieved A honor roll for all 4 quarters! WOW! New this year is Emma's teacher Jenifer Bradford. She told me all of her curriculum plans and I expect very good thing. We are all ready for school to start!
Josh has had pretty steady work the past few week which has been a major blessing! How he works in 100 degree + weather on a roof is still a mystery to me. He works so hard for our family and we are so blessed to have such an amazing Father and Husband! We love you Josh!
On another note.. My niece Allyssa is taking donations for a school event. Here is the story....

I have been in Advanced Women’s Choir for two years at the middle school level, and I auditioned to get into the choir at the high school I am going to attend.  Ten girls from my middle school made it into this choir, and I happen to be one of them!  I was excited when I found out that I made it into the choir, but I was even more excited when I found out that this Women’s Choir Program gets the chance to perform in Hawaii.  Every four years the high school goes to Hawaii to perform, and it happened that my first year of high school is the year that they will be taking us to perform in Hawaii.  This could be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for me to go with my choir to Hawaii because it only happens every few years.  This would be my only opportunity to go.

The amount that I need to save up to in order to attend is $1500.  This is a large amount of money that I need to make by the end of February.  I would honestly appreciate it if you would be so kind as to help me go on this once-in-a-lifetime trip.  Anything that you could donate would help immensely. Contact Me (Molly) for further questions.

Requests for Healthy Recipes... here you go

Hello readers!
I know it has been way too long! Quick catch up and then I will post some healthy recipes!! I really can't remember, but in the past three week sometime I got a part time job. I am now a Maurices employee. For those of you who don't know what Maurices is, it is a clothing store chain. I have to tell you... they lost one of their best customers when I became an employee! I had my first day last Wednesday and I love it! I will post some pictures of a Splurge Party I had a couple of weeks ago in the store. The models are all wearing Mary Kay Cosmetics and Maurices clothing! FUN FUN! The diet is still going great I have slowing been toning and tightening! Josh is looking better and better every day! I had no clue that was possible! Emma and I went to Sea World on a school field tip. The pictures are pretty self explanatory. Easter came and went so fast, we had an amazing day with family! Here are some pics! There are two snack reipes listed and there are more to come!

Last week was crazy! Saturday we had dinner with friends. It felt great to talk with the adults:). Friday was my day to volunteer at Jacobs school. I basically spend the whole day being the teachers aid. It is a lot of fun and Jacob enjoys me being up there. I am the only mom who will play tag with the kids on the playground. haha. Thursday was my work day. I am a Independent Beauty Consultant for Mary Kay. I absolutely love my job and all the products! Thursday evenings our unit has meeting to motivate and encourage us. We had the honor of having National Sales Director Cindy Williams come and give us encouraging words. I really enjoyed her she is such an amazing success story! . Now I can't remember as far back as Wednesday so we will stop there. Our diet is still working out great! I am finding some really fun low cal. recipes. We have been running like crazy, there is a 5k coming up in town soon I think we will be ready to kick butt in no time! Here is a look back at the week...

My niece Juliet was born last night at 11:56! She is 7lbs. 2oz 21inches long. She is so precious and so beautiful! She looks so much like her mommy. I am so proud of my brother-in-law Eric! He did so well with the whole process and is such a trooper! His wife Tricia spent 18 hours in labor and just bounced right back! I went to the hospital this morning at 9 and got the chance to hold Juliet for 2 hours! I am very proud to call them family! Such a cute one too!

Monday, Monday

Josh had the day off ! 30 mile an hour winds today. YIKES! There is no way Josh could be on top of a roof today. (Did I mention, Josh is a roofer? I guess that was a given.) I was super excited to spend the day ALL ALONE with him! I made an amazing breakfast, poached eggs, turkey bacon, yogurt and mixed fruit. Everyone loved it! Josh and I decided to take the kids to school together and go for a run. Jacob is always the first one dropped off. We got to school and we all said "bye Jacob". I noticed as he was running in the school building, a  bright red mark on his cheek. I parked and went inside to check him out. You see , a month ago Emma had a mark very similar to Jacobs. I took Emma into the doctor to find out she had broken out into hives as a result of 5th's disease. A childhood illness that is apparently very common, like the chicken pox. I had never heard of this virus, which also meant I never had 5th's disease. Emma's virus ran it's course and two weeks later I received it. Now we get to why Jacob had red marks on his cheeks...HIVES. Ugh not again. Josh and I ended up spending the morning at the doctor's office trying to get a note for him to go back to school. Although it was not the day I had planned, Josh and I got to spend the morning with Jacob:). He finally went back to school around lunch time. We also had a parent teacher conference with Emma's Kindergarten Teacher today. She says Emma is doing great!!!! She is reading so well, and her attitude is improving every day. She is such a happy little girl and plays so hard! There was one small concern of the teachers, Emma talks all the time. "WHAT?" Not my child? LOL of course she talk all the time, so does her mommy. We had a little talk with Emma and she has agreed to not disturb the other children. We will see.
Joshua and I started dieting last week. Sometimes it is difficult to make a low calorie low fat meal. For dinner I made grilled Tilapia, roasted asparagus, and pasta with a cream sauce! Yummy!  For desert  I made fat burning cookies!! I love them! We also had coffee with my twist of low calorie cream and sugar! Now it is time to relax! Good night all!

One Year Already?

Yesterday Joshua and I celebrated one year of marriage. For our anniversary weekend  we revisited the honeymoon area. We stayed on a ranch in Gonzales, Texas for two days. At the ranch we fished, rode atvs, shot skeet, relaxed, and ate some great food! Not to mention all the fun we had with Joshua's cousins! We had a blast! I realized about half way through the trip, I forgot the memory card for the camera. No pictures sorry .On our trip, Josh and I remembered one year ago when we became a complete family! We celebrated the best year of our lives so far. I know there are so many more to come.

To my amazing husband:
I love you Joshua always.

Thurday March 31: First Post

I have deiced to share with readers life with the Smith Family. From the wife, and mothers point of view. What being a new mother is like, running my  home business, volunteering at school, cooking, charity events, church, family and much more.

Just a year and a half  ago I was 20 years-old and single. I had no responsibility and frankly not a care in the world. I had no goals in life and  very little education. A year and a half ago I had no direction, no motivation , and no drive. A year and a half  ago I met the love of my life and husband Joshua Smith. Going on exactly one year of marriage in two days, I often wonder what this man was thinking to marry such a young confused person. A year ago my entire life changed for the BEST! Joshua and I instantly clicked! While dating we would stay up until 4 a.m. just talking, about our lives, our goals, our likes and dislike. Everything came so natural with Joshua! Only after six months of dating, we decided it was time to get married. It was a fairy tale dream for me. Oh yes, did I mention when I married Joshua I gained two children as well. Jacob 7 and Emma 4. I found myself falling in love with all three of them. I fit in so perfect with the perfect family. A family of my own. Something I had desired from 5 years-old! Okay, so it wasn't the ideal prince charming sweeping me off my feet, and riding away into the sunset. It was REAL! A life-long commitment to not just one person, but three. The most mature, thought filled, perfect decision I had ever made.  I went from looking out for # 1 to looking out for two helpless lives and one almost helpless man!

I decided to write this blog because i would like to show readers, you can accomplish your dreams. If you want them bad enough. As often as I can I will show you what it is like to be 21 and living my dream!
